Sara Hardiman Howard is a real estate agent with Williams & Co. at Keller Williams Coastal and Lakes & Mountains, serving buyers and sellers across Maine, New Hampshire, the Seacoast, and New Hampshire’s Lakes Region. With a background in hospitality, advocacy, wellness, and client care, Sara brings patience, empathy, and steady guidance to every real estate client she works with.
Sara grew up in Meredith, New Hampshire, along the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee. Her parents owned a hotel there, and from an early age, she was surrounded by the world of hospitality. Working alongside her family through high school and college helped Sara develop strong customer service skills and a natural ability to connect with people, something that has shaped every chapter of her career.
After graduating from Keene State College, Sara followed her calling to help others in meaningful ways. She worked with developmentally disabled adults and their families, offering patience, advocacy, and support during moments that required trust and understanding. Later, as a college admissions officer, she guided students and families through one of life’s biggest transitions, helping them feel seen, heard, and supported along the way.
Sara’s entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to service eventually led her to open a massage therapy practice and wellness center in Kittery, Maine. There, she created a space centered on healing, balance, and care. That same people-first mindset now guides her work in real estate.
In 2020, Sara fulfilled a lifelong dream and earned her real estate license. Practicing in both Maine and New Hampshire, she helps clients buy and sell with honesty, empathy, and clear communication. With strong roots in New Hampshire’s Lakes Region and deep ties along the Seacoast, Sara offers clients both local knowledge and heartfelt dedication throughout the process.
For Sara, real estate is not simply about properties. It is about helping people move toward the life they are trying to build. Whether she is guiding a first-time buyer, helping a seller prepare for their next chapter, or supporting someone relocating to Maine or New Hampshire, Sara’s goal is to make the process feel thoughtful, manageable, and deeply personal.
Outside of work, Sara embraces life with the same adventurous spirit she brings to her career. She has traveled widely across the United States, lived for a time in Taos, New Mexico, and recently checked off a bucket-list dream by purchasing a VW Westfalia van. These days, you might spot her with the van top popped, enjoying a beach day along the coast with her family.
Sara lives in Kittery, Maine, with her husband, their son and daughter, and their beloved pit bull mix, Phoebe. Throughout every part of her life and career, one theme has remained constant: her devotion to serving others and walking beside them, step by step, toward the place they most want to be.
What is Sara’s favorite quote?
Sara’s favorite quote is from Ralph Waldo Emerson: “Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day. You shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.”
What is Sara’s favorite book?
Sara’s favorite book is The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz.
